Pretending that we run both modules at the maximum ability, which would be faster?

DDR3 1066 PC3 8500 7-7-7-18

DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 9-9-9-24

I know that the lower the number is for the timings the faster it is, but that's not the only concern, right?
 
You probably would never notice the difference except for in synthetic benchmarks but the 1600 RAM is faster. Higher RAM frequency always seems to over power higher latency in benchmarks.

I ussually go with the higher frequency RAM for overclocking reasons...
 
Excellent! Thanks for the advice, just wasn't really sure how much of a difference the numbers made. I'm definitely aiming to overclock it as well. :]
