Firmware install for ssd

Hey guys
How do you install firmware on ssd before you install the os on a new pc build? How do does one do that? Please forgive my ignorance as I'm very confused.

For crucial I downloaded and burnt a CD (and booted to it) and followed their instructions, for OCZ I believe they do something similar. You will need a computer of some sort to burn the disk, but after that you are good to go.

if you have your old computer you could also set up the ssd as the secondary drive upgrade firmware then install it into the new build
