How hard is it to get the materials to make your own case out of aluminum sheets or something? I've been thinking that building and designing my own case would be really cool, esp. if it was made out of carbon fiber or titanium. Carbon Fiber would look darn cool, and it isn't too expensive now. How would I get my hands on some?

There was a thread just yesterday about a carbon fiber case here (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68695) .

Just for easing your pain, you could buy a small cr@p case with a removable motherboard tray to build around. Those things look like a pain to duplicate. www.colorcomputercase.com has some for 30-40 bucks. Maybe provide half a chassis to build around too.
Make the top end extension with all the room you'd need without having to work around drive bays and such.

Just a thought.
