Kendan you were right. Clean, clean folder needed to get a good result with 2.19. I am up on the machine I put 2.19 on last night and working on the 4th WU. the first three sent ok. I completely removed all traces of F@H and Panda Group (in registry) from the comp. Made new folder and installed F@H 2.19 Console into it. Then opened it. It asked for all config info (just like the old ver1) and started. That's the first time I had to do that, telling me that it was a good clean install. Have not had any problems. I even installed fold monitor into the same folder and all is well. I see some low production from heavy hitters and posted this in case there are still folks with probs. I'll let it run a few days before trying to put it on the other comps. The idea I had of faster folding times was a fluke. I was using the time from different machines in the comparison. Folding/Fold On!! The keg is cold. Have a few. Again thanks guys for your help.   :burn:

So with 2.19 we need a totally clean install?
I am still on 2.15 but have been considering making the switch since it is supposed to handle the newer proteins better and I like to run the GUI on my main system since it stays out of the way that way.

Has the problem with dial up connections been solved with this new client? It would be good if we could announce that some problems were fixed with the new client in the hopes that some of the people that dropped out for whatever reason may come back to the team. I know that some dropped it because of the dialup problems. :(

I have seen no post concerning dialup and 2.19. As a matter of fact I haven't seen ANY complaints from dialups in a while.

I haven't had any problems with dialup since I came in from work last Tuesday, with either 2.15 or 2.17 console versions, which I have on my machines. As far as ver. 2.19, I installed it on my T-bird machine 2 days ago and have had no problems with it. I didn't even do a clean install, just deleted the 2.17 console version and put the 2.19 console version in my F@H folder. Then, I deleted the core65.exe, went online, and then started the console version. It went ahead and d/l'ed a new core65.exe and new work and has been folding it's fanny off since then. I've had no problems turning in work with it either; done about 6 WU's since installing it, including hairpins and a proteinAg29aNat. Hope this information helps out.:)

It looks like it folds at the same speed as the console ver. 2.17 I had on my T-bird system with both hairpins and the proteinA's.

My philosophy is if it ain't broke, don't fix it.... I'm sticking with 2.15 console on all my boxes.
