project corner section on FP?

i think it is a good idea to show case some user projects. i thought of it after seeing this project mia did and its sweet!

I think this would be a pretty neat idea - we'd have to either get people to write their build up, though, or perhaps have someone write fortnightly summaries of the goings-on in the modding section?

maybe users could report threads to editors for ones they think should be on the FP? alot of times the person already has done the writing. like mia so there would just need to be a small summary and then a link to the thread.

I was seriously considering bringing this back. I only got one article pub'd before I got really busy with RL stuff... That one article was Spotwood's SR2 case project (http://www.overclockers.com/sr2-case).

My plan, after the first article, was to change it to something like a monthly modding article that showcased all/most currently on-going and completed projects from the community. The article would include a short description of the project, short summary of progress, link to the log, and a few pics of the current state of the project. It would be like that SR2 case article but with more projects and shortened summaries per project.

well i was thinking just a project show case spot light, with a link to the thread. would be say voted by the members either by pm'ing a editor or someone else. if enough votes come in for say one month then it gets linked to on the FP for the month. if we have enough projects starting to pop up we could go for weekly. though that really does depends on the projects coming in.

if the thread becomes featured doesnt that mean it should be on the FP?
