This will cause a bit of an uproar, but can anyone justify spending $1200+ AUD on the new 3960x? Is it just me or is that price a bit extreme? :bang head

I was waiting for the 2011 socket to come out and figured they would be around $800-900, but $1200, seriously, how much mark up is there on that? Looks like ill be waiting a few months as I refuse to pay that much.

I suppose its like a new car, In a few months they will be perhaps a quarter cheaper than current..? :-/
