Now I know it would be super cool and an interesting talking point to upgrade to the 2011 socket 3930K, but that's not what I'm after.
I want to know if it is worth upgrading now, or waiting till the Ivy Bridge is released. Apart form the Cores and the 22nm size, what will make Ivy so different to Sandy? Why would I opt for the Ivy over the 3930K? And will the sockets be interchangable or the same? I seem to get conflicting stories each time I read a thread.
I do alot of gaming and some photo/video editing, and the usual stuff eg movies, internet stuffs. I have the current system in my Sig below, minus a few extra things like HDD's
