Brand new overclocked 2500k at 4.4ghz (STABLE)
Brand new ASUS P8Z68 motherboard
Fresh Windows 7 OS install
Fresh Battlefield 3 install
Non-overclocked MSI GTX560ti (Tried EVERY kind of driver)
When trying to play Battlefield 3 on Ultra I've noticed that the VRAM is topping out towards the 1024mb maximum of the card. At that point the card will start stuttering and sometimes even lock-up and crash. Keep in mind, I'm well aware of the fact to turn off AA in order to lower the tax on the VRAM, but I'm still getting stuttering on some big 64 player maps on Ultra.
People keep telling me I might be getting a VRAM leak? They said I should only be running at like 70% VRAM usage on 1680x1050 Ultra. I don't think that's possible as even on High I'm running at 80% VRAM usage.
Is there something wrong with my card? Should I get another 560ti and SLI it or should I get a nice GTX570 because it has a higher VRAM and get rid of the 560?
EDIT: After running BF3 and watching the FPS, my FPS is consistently dropping from 50-60 to 1 and locking up every so often, I don't understand what the issue is here.
