View Full Version : Seti Shutdown issue

Whenever I shutdown or restart my computer (not very often cus seti runs all night) I get a box that says seti must be closed before I shutdown. Is there a way I can make it so my comptuer closes seti for me before shutting down? Its not hard but I never remember and it is annoying to rightclick it.

no its not the screen saver version. Its the one recomended in the sticky article in this thread catagory.

there was a thread not long ago about this issue
one of the regulars had the fix
i had a quick search but couldnt find it
just a matter of time till they read this post

Are you running windows me/98? Does it give the error windows cannot safely end this program. Please exit before shuttting down. It becasue its a DOS prompt, I think that all you can do is just exit it before restarting or shutiing down.

Common problem, easy fix. Unzip the attached file into C:\Windows. It's a .pif that takes care of the shutdown problem.

Forgot to mention it doesn't work on the first shutdown. Sorry 'bout that.

yeah, i guess i WAS that one who answer this question not too long ago......

anyway, here's u go:

COPY c:\windows\system\conagent.exe
PASTE into "each WU" folder if u r using Driver. yeah, it's a pain if u cached a lot........like me, from 35-60WUs / machine!!
then go back to the original file that located in Windows\System\Conagent.exe
RIGHT CLICK the file --> Properties --> Misc
UNCHECK the "warn if still active"
RESTART SETI(Spy, or whatever u use)
now, either RESTART or Shut Down u machine
NO more message huh? :D
