I have used 3ds max a little bit. But I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to 3d modelling. I do know that you can create a 'skin' in something like photoshop and then place it on the model. Youtube might have a nice video tutorial on skinning. I do know that the help section in the program has extensive data on skinning..

jediobi1...

I've messed with 3D modeling a bit in the past. I believe that what you're looking for is a way to "stitch" the textures together.

What you will need to do is UV Unwrap the textures individually and then "stitch" them together.

I suggest you bring your question to an audience that is comprised of lots more people that do that on a regular basis. You would get tons more answers/help if you were to go to CGTalk.com and ask the same question. Not saying that we don't want to help you, but the chances of finding the one person that knows how to do what you want to accomplish are very low at this board. Over at that other site; however, you will find hundreds of people ready and willing to show you the way.
