Hello, I'm looking for some cheap 8gb 1600mhz ram that will be durable.
Around the 40-50range and prefferably on newegg.com

specs

i5 2500k
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
ATI 5970
Corsair TX850W
1TB Caviar Black
500GB Seagate

CONCERN - Why is there a $10 price difference its the same exact CPU right?

on the cpu's there is an item number difference in the 2.

also note that the dominator kit is only 4 gb and not 8 gb

I have found the vengance rams to be a bit tall for no reason other than bling. Also seem that they dont oc well at all usually from what I have seen. I have a kit of the gskills and they dont oc well either but think they look better than the corsair and have the black pcb that I like. I would choose the gskills, but would also look into the 1866 kits and see if there isnt something that may go on sale in the short term or just pay the pit of difference. I like having all that I could need for horsepower
 
G.Skill Sniper ram I got last night is awesome! It's 1866mhz for a about$50, they also have 1333. 1600. 1866. 2133 versions too! But those are almost double of what I paid
