Laptop RAM.

So I pulled apart my Lenovo netbook today to get at the harddrive (which works in my computer - didn't think it would. Free 100GB!), and I pulled out 2 GB of DDR2 667MHz RAM. Now, I'm assuming because it's laptop RAM, I can't put it in a motherboard that supports DDR2 RAM? Correct me if I'm wrong .

This. Different sizes, different number of pins.

Some miniITX motherboards take laptop RAM though.

Yup. If you compare the laptop RAM to your desktop board's RAM slots, it will be immediately apparent that they're not compatible.
