I am trying to find 16 GB of RAM for my rig and Don't really understand what my best choice will be. Ive done a few hours of research and still draw a blank on what my best choice would be.

Here is what I am looking for:

16 GB of RAM
Best Gaming Performance
Needs to be from newegg given that is the gift card I have.

Here are the issues I'm having:
As far as I can see the faster the clock speed the worse the timings are. So do I go with 1600 MHz at a timing of 9-9-9-24 or do I go with a 2000 with a timing of 9-10-9-27. What will Increase performance and maintain stability.

As always please double check compatibility before making a suggestion:
4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture
This is a crosshair Formula IV with an AMD 1090T Black Ed.

Thank You very much for any replies:

Edit:
Alternatively: is there anything better??

G-Skill seems to have a good track record with ASUS and is usually pretty price competitive. I would find a set that fits your like and go for it.

I currently have 8 GB of 1333:

Should I just buy another 2 sticks or is it worth it to upgrade to the higher speed?

Seems to me that a lot of different people have different opinions but not really backed by numbers that have a noticeable difference in their system speed.

Edit:
Throw opportunity cost to the wind because I'm using the rest of my money to build an internet machine.

Since you already have 8gb you probably don't use all of it unless you do heavy graphic work or something like that so I would say stick with what you have. IMO if you are dead set on upgrading then go for tighter timings but keep the same speed, maybe 1600 at most. As you stated the results people get from going to a faster ram speed seems so minimal its like a waste of money unless you bench.

Yes Bug I really do want to upgrade and Tyvm for your help so far. I do use my memory at full cap sometimes "oddly enough" and with a bit of gift card to spend its really the best upgrade I can get for my rig that will make a difference bar a new CPU or GPU. I really like the last choice on the following list because it has tight timings, low CAS and high freq. But I would still like to get some feedback if possible.

How Would this Fair:

or would a slower speed tighter timings be faster?

or alternatively a little of both worlds?

Ideas?

The third looks nice to me but I prefer tight timings more than most people (call me old fashioned). Take some time and read through the reviews people post there for any negatives with Phenom but take them all with a grain of salt of course. If all looks good then go for it, worse case you have to return them for something else but I would bet they will work fine.
