This is annoying. do i contact asus directly or do i contact amazon?

Asus will be slower on the return handling, so I would attempt to resolve it via exchange with amazon first.

im also having an issue with waking up as well. :(. Thanks. i will call amazon tomorrow. i really really lie the laptop when its running fine.

i did te magnet trick (swipe a magnet over the touchpad area and the pwer button works. it has sometihng to do with a magnetic charge thats built up over time on the touchpad portion when you closethe lid.

on another note. hass anyone ever noticed a very brief green screen upon booting up? ihs happened to me once already.
