is it worth the upgrade

My current system I have 6g of triple channel ram from Mushkin 3x2g 1600 would it be worth it to me to upgrade to a 12g 3x4g in something in the 1866- 2133.

My specs I7-920 3.8g @1.232v G1 sniper with a 460.

is it worth me spending the cash

what are you using the computer for? is it for games or rendering some vids or any app like CAD?

Are you using the 6gb to its potential? If not, dont waste the money just for bigger numbers
