Hey Everyone,

I have a question regarding how to get tubing into a chest freezer. Im building a watercooled system using a chest freezer and i've been told that these things have coils going around all 4 walls and that making holes in them would probably pierce the freon line and i'd basically ruin the whole damn thing.

Now, if this is true, does anyone have any bright ideas on how to get tubing into these damn things? (I thought about having it going thru the top part that lifts up, but that would be a pain in the ass since then the tubing would most with it too.)

Any help?

you could probably run the tubing through the top, or if it has high enough feet, through the bottom. In the summer im going to make a water cooling rig with the freezer cooling the water. I have one beerfridge with ice all on the bakc of it. I thought by embedding a copper coil in the ice and running antifreeze through the pipes i could reach some real cool temps.

Simple question just occured to me. When you turn the PC off, you turn the refregerator off too, right

Otherwise won't the water in the tube freeze?

Nope, freezer will run 24/7 along with the pump.

Gonna use an antifreeze mix as coolant.
