110 Ghz chip

According to this article, IBM has developed a 110 Ghz chip based on Germanium. But said the chip will be used in network devices such as routers and switches. Why don't they put these suckers in the desktop and servers? Can you imagine the power? I can crunch a SETI work unit in maybe 10 minutes.
