I was doing a little search through the google newsgroup database, and found this . Looks like this guy is having the same problem as me. The case temps monitored by the ST6 seem to be a lot higher than other machines within the same room (let's set the case cooling aside for now).
Does anyone with the same motherboard have the same problem? Can anyone even confirm that the system temperature sensor is within the winbond chip? Or, am I wrong altogether and the sensor is actually reporting the correct system temps?
If the system temp is reported wrong, how much should I compensate for it?
