JP3 Header (RT2 Thermistor)

If I remember correctly, this jumper can be used as an alternate source to monitor system temperature? I went to look on my motherboard and it appears to be a 2 pin header w/ no jumper. How would I enable this to work?

i could be wrong as i am a newbie but i think that is where you attach a thermistor and tape it to say your cpu's heatsink its like a wire with a prop on the end
