I picked up some inexpensive pc components and decided to build a PC for my kids to use while I hog up all of the time on this one. ;)
It is a generic mobo with a Intel Celeron 533 PPGA processor. I am installing the CPU and the manual says that the CPU ratio selection JFreq1 jumper has to be set. It has 4 positions and a range of x3.5 to x8.0.....what is it exactly and what should I set the jumpers to? I cant find any documentation anywhere on the subject.

The multiplier on that PPGA 533 is 8x; this can be seen by using the formula:

CPU speed (MHz) = Multiplier * FSB.

That Celeron has a FSB of 66 so 8 * 66 = 533.

THANKS! Just the info I was looking for..........
