Hi all
My System is:
M5A78L/USB3 Motherboard
FX-6100 AMD Bulldozer Processor
EVGA GForce 560TI superclocked Graphics
Kingston HyperX T1 6GB 1866 MHz Ram (Compliant with my Motherboard)
On boot my ram speed is reporting 1333mhz and I would like to set it to 1866mhz. What settings should i use as i am a worried about damage to my system if i enter wrong settings.
Thankyou

Hello and thanks for your reply
Iv looked through my bios and tbh im not sure where to start.
I can not seem to see a setting called "Enable XMP"
I am a total noob when it come to anything other than boot configuration :P
sorry to be a pain :(

If your board isn't XMP capable, then you'll first need to change Memory Clock Mode to 800MHz (= DDR3-1600), then adjust the HT Reference Clock upwards from the default of 200MHz until the effective DRAM frequency = DDR3-1866.

Change the Memory Clock mode to 800Mhz and then push your FSB to 233-234 Mhz from stock 200Mhz..since its an FX clocking shouldn't be a problem.

I set FSB to 233 and Memory clock to 800 and the system would not boot up.

Been Busy with work past few days so have not had chance to carry on with setting up my ram speed.
I will have a go at dropping my multiplier a notch and let you know what happens.
