Gtx 560 ti oc 950/1820/2150(thinking of upgrading to sli)

here it is, ive posted this before but no answers. Im wanting to upgrade to 3 monitors to play BF3 and Mass effect 3 various other games and also Nvidia 3D vision so my question is.. should i upgrade to sli since ill be using 3 23" monitors and can i use a 2nd 650w 80+ evo labs psu to run the 2nd gfx card insted of upgrading my psu to a 850w which is a little pricey like £100 i know how to get the psu running without being plugged into mobo so i should have enough power using that. what do you guys think?

Yes if I am not mistaken you can't play 3d surround with out two video cards. And you would need to get yourself a second 560 ti for I think the ti series has a different gpu in some ways then a non ti 560.. And yes you can use two psu's on one rig. I did it for the longest time just to run my rig with one card.

3 monitor 3D Surround will choke with 560ti in SLI since it only has 1GB Vram each. Scrap those cards and grab something with 2GB of ram.

I would highly suggest you try to upgrade the PSU for sure. And if you do I would suggest going 1000+W instead of settling for only 850. This will give you plenty of room to overclock as well as upgrade your hardware with little to no hiccups.

AHHHH yah I forgot about the Vram issue. That is definitely a deal breaker when trying to run 3d surround. 2+g is definitely the way to go.

I dont reccomend 1Kw of power either. Darn near any SLI/Crossfire setup will run happily on an 850W PSU. For a pair of 560's, no way would I get more than 850W. Hell I ran 2 580's on a 750W PSU and will the CPU overclocked (4.5Ghz) and GPU's overclocked (875Mhz core/1200Mhz memory).

I'm running 560 Ti SLI + 2500K @ 4.7GHz on 600W. Plenty of power left.

Well i have installed the same gtx 560 ti oc and its running fine on a powercool 650w psu i lose about 5fps in bf3 with 3D surround and about the same with testdrive 2 i recon if i overclock them both 10% and apply some arctic silver 5 paste it should be fine since they have dual winforce fans from gigabyte temps should be ok and at 90% u can not hear the fans at all really will upgrade to 2 7970's when i upgrade to ivybridge at xmas
