Hi guys, I'm about to RMA my Corsair TX650 because the 3.3v rail is reading low and I need a PSU to use while that one is out. I'm thinking maybe a 430w Corsair will work if I'm not overclocking? The system is in my signature

Should be fine. Don't OC too much.

Have you checked the TX650 with a multimeter? Don't trust HWMonitor/AISuite/any-software-at-all.

I don't have a multimeter, I noticed the low 3.3v rail through HWMonitor. It's reading at 2.17. The 12v is 11.78 and the 5v is right at 5. I could use the 430w Corsair for an HTPC I plan on building within the next year so it's not that big a deal to get another PSU, just want the lowest wattage that can run my current rig and good quality of course.

Dont RMA unless you check it with a MMeter. Like BobN said, software is off. If its was that far out of spec, you would likely have some issues with the PC in general.

HW monitor is known to be off. So yeah check with MMeter

I seriously doubt your computer would even boot if the 3.3v rail were at 2.17v. That is far too low.

Go grab a $7 multimeter from harbor freight, they use the same brain as the $60-70 meters elsewhere.
