Hey guys , i been thinking ,since that sometimes ur CPU can bottleneck ur GPU.

I was wondering , when ur buying a CPU , what do u need to look out for and how will u know that this CPU is decent enough for gaming ?

I do not tend to do any OC though , to me just a cheap yet decent CPU just pop it in , no need to OC and yet im sitll able to game !

Right now? For gaming and overclocking? Just check that it's an i5-2500k.

(kinda fanboy mode off)

- Fits your motherboard
- It's "unlocked" if you want to overclock it.
- Has enough cores for what you want to use.
- Has nice reviews.
- Fits your budget.

That's almost everything I can think of for a home processor.

it will depend on your motherboards socket what you can use,you cant just put anything in it.most any of the current cpus can handle a good gpu these days. let use know your system spec's :motherboard, gpu, ram, power supply, current cpu, and we can give you some recommendations.

Basically just dont put a PENTIUM 4 inside ur MOBO ( if thats even possible ) and run a HD 7970 lol ?

I prefer AMD actually , well a few ppl did told me the FX4100 is sufficient =)
