Well, My friend has ASUS A7A266, A stick of 256 PC1600 And a stick of 512 PC2100.... He called Asus a while ago, and they said that if you lowered both speeds to PC1600 It would work correctly.

Well.. They didnt tell him how do to it.

Where can i get the software or in BIOS where can i configure that?

Thanks

If you buy PC2700 Ram and your FSB is running 133 (PC2100) your PC2700 would only run @ 2100. The best way is to test it.

Sometimes mixing ram is not a good idea, sometimes it is.

Personally, I would run the 512 of PC2100 and forget about the 1600...sell it or something. But that is just me. Don't know what the decrease in speed you would get over having 256 more MBs of RAM. Try it out and see.
