Actually, if you aren't running any horribly new OSs (anything newer than Win98 I would think), you should be able to get away with 128MB. The minimum for a SETI cruncher should be 64MB, but at that, you may start having to dip into the swap file even if it isn't being used... 128 pretty much assures never hitting the swap file if it is a dedicated cruncher.

I believe I posted this in the Seti section but, 64mb if its just stand along Seti, 128mb if you plan to run a few other aps, 256 to run a normal machine.
