Im building a p4 northwood 2.2ghz system and really like the features offfered by the soyo p4s ultra however it uses the Sis 645 chipset is this chipset compatible with the northwood processor? and how about the intel 845?

As long as the SIS 645 board has a 478 pin socket, its compatible. And the same goes for the intel 845 board.
