Im building a new Athlon XP 2000, A7v333 mobo system and i need some ddr333 ram and im not a pro in choosing ram so....basically im asking which brand of ddr333 or ddr366 should i buy? the ocz pc3000 look sgood but i hear lots of complaints. I need either 2 sticks of 256 or 1 stick of 512 and my budget is under 100 (would like under 90) for the 256 and under 150 (maximum 170) for the 512. I hear corsair is good but i cant get it cheaper than 206 for a 512 and 137 for a 256, and thats way crazy price wise. so any help would be greatly appreciated as i need to order it tommorrow.

Hi dxiw,
you can consider Kingmax DDR33 too, the price is lower, and the performance are really good, but you have to choose the modules with 5ns chips ;)

According to the Corsair forums, their 512Mb PC2700 RAM uses the Samsung chips. (they even say exactly which Samsung chips they use, but the site is down right now so I can't find the info)

Anyway, Samsung sells 512Mb PC2700 RAM. Their 256 sticks have got some real good reviews, maybe the 512 stuff is good also?

Newegg is out of stock on the 256 right now but this place has the Samsung 512Mb sticks for $155. I found this on Pricewatch.

If you absolutely have to have PC2700 right now, then go with Kingmax. If you can wait a month or so, then get Crutial PC2700, which will be out soon. Going from their previous track record, I'd say the Crutual is definatley worth the wait, I'd say it'll have the same percentage of overclockability as their PC2100 does.
