Hello all I was wondering, I just got the asus P4B266 motherboard and was wondering if the onboard sound was better than the sound blaster live value pci card that I have any help in this matter you be great.....Thanks all...

not sure about that specific board but I'm pretty positive that your SB Live is much better than the onboard sound. Onboard sound is generally pretty crappy.

i agree with deez.
its not a resource matter mostly, but sound quality.
its possible the onboard sound has all the features a live! value has (i dont think so) but the sound quality of the card will surely be a lot better.

I had IRQ problems with the onboard soundcard, went back to my SBLive.
