Ultra ATA driver on ASUS P4T-E

When I installed this ( Ultra ATA Storage Driver) option from the
drive CD supplied with my P4TE, It removed the DMA option
from all of my drives!

Now all of my drives suggest checking DMA to
increase performance, so I uninstalled the Ultra ATA Storage Drivers, and voila', my DMA selection is back

my question is

Is the Ultra DMA Driver automatically assigning DMA use?
or am I better leaving it uninstalled.

I suppose I could do benchmarks but I was hoping someone would
know which yields better performance...

Thats very old driver, use IAA 2.0 instead.

Dont forget to instal Inf -files first (INF Update Utility)!

and again
the DMA option is totally GONE!!

Yeah. It seems to happen with all chipsets. Use the config utility to view the udma settings, that's about it.

UATA and UDMA are the same things, all it is doing is changing the user interface. ATA and DMA are used as interchangable in describing IDE.
