I have been reading everywhere
conferning the use of the the standaras
ME ATA drivers vs the Intel IAA 2.0

1- the standarad drivers allow me to check DMA

2 IAA 2.0 utilize DMA, but remove the option from my properties(not just grayed-GONE)

now, does anyone know whish is faster?

the IAA 2.0,
or standarad

also i hae a p4T-e
should i use the INF chipset utilitiy
on my ASUS CD, or the newer Intel version

If i indeed switch to the newer intel, what steps msut I take,
clean installl?

thanks i am very coonfursed

Well I have had probs when using the IAA software, games would stutter and DVD movies would also stutter, I just use the WInXP Drivers and they are plenty fast. Hope this helps
