Well basically im looking to get a MACHINE!!! soon, and I was going with the RD PC800 until me read up on DDR333, then I heard about RD PC1066, and I am thinking uf sticking with that over DDR PC3000...

but is this a mistake, will DDR400 yield superior performance, or the same, or worse???

or is there some new speed that I should know of...

Rdram at 1066 is still a lot quicker than DDR400.

Right now pc800 RDRAM is significantly faster than the highest quality and fastest DDR ram. Though I have not looked into it much i'm sure the future rdram will also beat ddr. Samsung double sided RDRAM seems to be the best for overclocking(as far as RDRAM goes, not talking about ddr) and will cost the same if not less money than DDR.
