registered for dual?

Yo all,

I´m thinking of upgrading to dual XP1700´s. I would like to keep my 512Mb unregistered DIMM, but I have read that unregistered DIMMs could cause stability problems in dual AMD configurations. Asus A7M266D, the MSI boards and Tyan2466 support the use of unregistered dimms.

Could anybody confirm or deny this?

I can only speak for the Tyan....Use Regestered Ram Only..

No matter what you may have seen about the Tyan I can say with 99% assurance Regestered ram is the key to stability as well as its first post lol...
