I'm buying a new PC real soon and had a question about ram manufactorers and types. Basically what would you recommend I buy?

-Corsair PC2100 DDR 512 megs $183.00
-Corsair PC2700 DDR w/heat spreaeder 512 megs $231.00
-Corsair Value Select PC2100 DDR 512 megs $204.61
-Samsung PC2100 DDR 256 megs x2 $140.75
-Generic PC2100 DDR 512 megs $168.43

I know the prices are probably more then ordering online but I plan on just going in and buying everything and picking it up as opposed to ordering it. I also live in Canada so I used a converter to change the prices from Canadian to US currency. Basically I'm curious whats the best bang for the buck and is the PC2700 worth it? Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Thanks
Chad

If you are going to overclock, PC2700 will help. PC2100, as long as its a good brand like Corsair or Crucial or Samsung will be fine.

The only thing I would say is do not go with the generic RAM

If you are going to do some hardcore overclocking, get PC2700. If not, any PC2100 branded will do.

from that list I'd have to say go with the Corsair PC2700 DDR w/heat spreaeder 512 megs $231.00. I've heard lots of good things about Corsair RAM.
