Darth Vadar PC case!

A recent PC magazine showed some cool cases that people had made themselves. People took things like cardboard & use a fireproof type paint over them to keep it from...well..melting. I was wondering if anyone knew what the stuff was? I have an original Darth Vadar Star Wars action figure case that would be perfect. however its plastic & id rather not get poisoned by melting plastic fumes. can ya help me out?

I am not sure what it is called the best idea would be to go to a hardware store or a model shop and ask them their opinion on the matter

Most auto stores have spraypaint or paint in a can that contains some ceramic and is very fire and heat resistant. i used some on a pegbaord rack for 3 motherboards and harddrives. IT worked great and they have quite a few colors
