Well, this is the case I'm looking at:

http://www.xoxide.com/newz60clearu.html

Any opinions on it? Granted, I could probably make the case and windows myself and possibly save a few bucks, but I don't really feel like cutting stuff.

This may not be the right choice for me, I would appreciate any input. The system going in the case consists of a Soyo SY-K7V Dragon Plus, Athlon 1800+, SB Audigy, 20GB harddrive, cdrom, 16/10/32 cdrw, and it has to have enough room for my thermaltake volcano 7, which is still doing good for me.

I was looking in the 100-150 price range for a good case tahts somewhat visually appealing and easy to mod if needed. Any ideas or opinions on the xoxide modded case would be greatly appreciated.

Here (http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/xoxide_z60_clearstorm/index.shtml) is a review from VH. I dont really like the way it looks but thats just me. Its good if you dont want to mod but that means youre paying them to do the fun part. To me it looks like a generic $40 or so case that they modded and jacked up the price. Thats just me, if you like it you should get it.

Could you recommend a better one from 100-150 price range. I was going for one of the sorta cheapo skyhawk aluminum fans, but I read a few reviews and one said you couldnt use the top drive bay really if you motherboard was big, and the soyo dragon is kinda large, at least in my current standard midtower case.

I would recommend one of these (http://www.antec-inc.com/en_sohoser.html) but dont buy it from the Antec site. Get it from NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp) (the second one down) for $49 w/out psu. While youre there get an Antec or Enermax or whichever psu you prefer to save on shipping. The only bad thing(for you) is that you have to mod it yourself.

Thanks much. Believe it or not, that is the EXACT case my hardware instructor just bought! His is white, but same case. I also managed to find someone in fayetteville where I live that sells them. Thanks much for your help. For the record though, I was looking at the directron case that was reviewed at overclockers.com by joe...difference between the two cases....100 bucks :) Im figuring this case with a good psu will cost around 100-115 bucks since i found it locally and need no shipping. *clicks heels. Yippie

I couldn't tell by your post. Which case are you getting? If it is the antec, I would say $110 is steep. If it is the other case, I guess it is ok, seeing as I dont know much about that case.

I'm gonna get the Antec. 110 is for the case and a decent power supply, no way in heck id pay 110 for the case alone if i can get if offline for like $50.

Good choice. I got mine today and there is a lot of room in there. That reminds me, I have to change my sig, as I got all the parts. Ask me if you have any problems installing the CD/DVD drives. It tooj me an hour to figure it out, so just ask and itll take you 1 min.:) This monster is 21 in. high!

Well, I went to the guy who has the case, and he wanted 119 FOR THE CASE ONLY!. My instructor at school got the case and a pwoer supply from him for 104...the tag price on the case is damn 139.99. No way in hell I am paying 119 for that case. Granted, I can buy it offline for cheaper which I think I will do now, or I will get the directron case joe reviewed at overclockers.com. I havent decided but no way im paying 119 for the case....btw, the 119 was what he could 'let it go for'

Im not gonna say the guys business name because he did knock like 45 bucks off a processor for me once, but still, that is way to steep on the case.

You could get the case and an Antec 400W shipped for less than that price! Let it go for this price...ROFL:)
