so my boards memory is rated at a max transfer of 4.5g/s i am running 2.1 right now with 256 stick (overclocked)

and u all say now no matter how much more memory i add i cant increase my transfer much more Why?

i would like to know since my board is rated so much higher why am i not running at 4.5 and why i am i never going to get any more out of my boards memory

I think your board is a nvidia chipset that can use a dual channel memory setup.
When you use dual channel it is supposed to be double the memory transfer rate so if you run dual channel ddr2100 at 133fsb(2100) then you can get up to 4200mbs memory thru put in theory.
The drawback is the limitation of the amd cpu.

ahhhhhh but to run dual i need 2 sticks of RAM
do think an xp cpu would be a big step for me

Not sure about that. Even the xp cpu's are in the 2.0-3.0 range I belive.
E-mail ed on the front page he wrote about this when the n-force chipset first came out and gave some specs on the xp.
