get a book, this is the best way too learn, go to amazon.com and look at the reviews of books and that should help you decide

Yeah, books are great for personal learning. The web is a good place to find a few things you've missed or didn't quite get. Scour the Internet to find things as a reffence, but a good book will never get you wrong. If you've up for some really dry reading, I believe Microsoft has a book out for it.

I've taught myself 3 languages and I'll say one thing, books are worth nothing if you dont try coding everything you read. If you read a chapter on how to read input files, then go write some useless program that reads in a file and prints it out backwards or something..anything. You wont learn anything just reading a book. And you will actually remember the keywords, arguments, and concepts 10000% better if you use them.
