Abit ST6 woes

First off, every time i post, it takes a long time to count the memory up to 512MB. When i first got it, it was counting up as quickly as any other computer. But all of a sudden, it got very slow, like 2-3 seconds. I updated my bios to 8A, but it still does the same thing.

Next, is there a way to enable fastwrites or sba on this motherboard?

Go into your bios and "ENABLE" the quick memory check. It should be this way by default on most recent boards.

tehre's no "quick mem check", but there is quick post, which has been enabled the whole time.
