OK the P4 1.6a is up and running Raid 0. I'm very pleased. I had to load XP then update the HPT driver. Why? who knows but it worked. Question Why at my boot up screen does the message "CPU is unworkable or has been changed ...Press F1 to continue or del to enter setup" is there a setting that can make this go away or am I just doing something incredibly stupid?

This happens when you reseat the cpu in the socket. I think I just set the cpu parameters in bios and saved bios when exited. If that don't work then clear the cmos with the jumper and set the parameters again at the next boot.

Sometimes you get that message when you need to update your BIOS to support the Northwood.
