Hi,
I have some PC2400 Corsair ram I was going to put on a KT266A chipset board like the A7V266-E and probably OC.
Haven't ordered the Mobo yet and I wonder if a KT333 chipset board like the A7V333 might be better. The PC2400 is rated at 150MHZ, you'd never get to 166MHZ with it, but with the right KT333 board, you might be able to run it at 150mhz and not OC the PCI bus like on the KT266A. Any opinions on this?

I depends where the /15 pci divider is set to change to from the 1/4 on the KT333 boards.
If it is set somewhere between 160 and 166mhz then you will be running the same pci bus speed at 150 as you would on a kt266 board.
Even if you can select manually what divider to use at 150mhz running your pci bus at 25mhz with a 1/5 divider might cause more problems than running it at 37.5mhz with a 1/4 divider.

Yup

You're right, the divider setting is the hangup in that plan, looks like I'll stick with KT266A.
