PC600/PC800 Rambus

What is the difference between PC600 and PC800? (Besides the obvious ;-) )

Can a system with PC800 support PC600? I want to take out my PC800 and put that in my other machine. And get PC600 to put into this machine. (I want to save money).

Does the 800/600 have anything to do with the FSB?

i could be wrong but i thinkg the 800/600 is the rated maxium speed of the ram. You should be able to run your 800 in the 600 machine. Someone correct me if i am wrong

pc800 isnt the maximum size, as pc1066 looms...

but from what I understand, for every processor clock the ram will refresh itself 800,000 times...

if anyone knows a link to a site which can explain this in depth please post cos I am intrigued to learn.

this is old, but rdram hasn't changed a lot. I can't wait till 1066 gets here w/533+2.53ghz it'll be smokin anyway they really break it down. also try looking up your particular board/chipset review. this is the best site for this kind of info.
