One big question really, cai I get some floppies larger then 1.44 MB in the Toronto are, and can they be read in a regular floppy drive? That is all, thanks.

I dont think they ever made any floppies (much)bigger than the 1.44 other than the Superdisks and Zips and so forth.
They made 2.88MB floppy disks, but you won't be able to read them in a standard drive. If you've got slightly larger files, it'd be easier to split files across disks using PKZIP, WinZip or a number of other programs.

Those were the drives that used hardware-level compression, I believe.
Here is what it looked like:

2.88's aren't worth the money. They're rare enough that even if you find any the disks will probably be at least $1 per disk. There are programs out there that will let you get a bit more out of a standard floppy drive and disk. I had one that ran in Win3.1 or DOS mode that installed in himem and let you put up to 1.8meg on a 1.44 floppy but the person who wrote the code never made a win95+ version.
If you're interested in pure size, try "Active Surplus" (south side of Queen street, just east of the Much Music building) they probably have a few old 14" floppy drives laying around still. :D
