FYI
That's only about a third of the science dept. machines folding so far. Also be a week or two until they're all full time. Plus there must be at least 4 students folding now I think. These kids amaze me. It's really exciting being at this school.

Oh, and I think we're the third largest high school in the country.

Ahh high school, how I miss it, no worries. Your Kiwifolding class is awesome and keep it up!!! Maybe I can write to my college headmaster and see if they can use their computers for folding.
If not I can always try sneaking them in on the LRC computers...hehe:D

I got some science lab PCs from my old high school folding for me.

I just applied at the Univ. of Tx ITS help desk... maybe if I can get a part-time job with 'em I can get a few more rigs going. <crosses fingers>

Also got an in at a local computer shop. WIll see about a part-time job there tomorrow.

i currently have folding:
Celeron 800 @ 1.12ghz
Athlon 550 @ 660mhz
PII 233 @ 266 (well, not much, its so slow and PSU is buggerd :()

so yeah :) thats my contribution, and my celeron is now officially on ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT, im not gonna turn it off, JUST LET HER FOLD i say :)

and wouldnt it b neat if kiwifolding rose to the top of this list... i wonder if a few of you very noble and generous men with a high rank or well payed job could offer some sort of prize to make it all worth it even more :P (haha no sweat)

but yep, im gonna rope in a few more mates yet (one with P3 500, one with Athlon 800, one with P4 1.sumfin) and that ought to boost the stats a bit.

either way its great to be a part of kiwifolding and so neat the way we are a close-nit group whom all know and respect eachother.

ive actually been posting here for a few months now - all my problems with o/c'ing this celly 800 to 1120mhz, and useing XP etc :)
so thanx to all those whom have helped me.
and secondly ive actually been folding for a wee while now too :) but i was folding under the Deepscience name. as Deepscience is actually my form 6 physics teacher. (form 6 = Year 12, which means im 16 years old and turning 17yo this year) (august to b exact, just incase you guys wanna send me a present :P)

and yeh - he con'd my into it and i decieded great, and its for a great cause, but then we decieded that if we were to get more ppl they wudnt like the whole idea of deepscience getting allthe credit (not that i mind) so we decieded one physics lesson to use hte name Kiwifolding, (my idea) as opposed to Kiwifolders (physics teachers idea) hehe :P i won

and yes my teacher has now given up a fair portion of a physics lesson showing and explaining FOLDING@HOME to both my physics class and his physics calss *good on ya sir!!!* and so hopefully more and more of them will start folding.. just imagine it.. 60 of us all folding under kiwifolding :)

and lastly to that guy who asked how many there are... umm, well theres me and my teacher (the main fullahs) and i herd sum young guy started, and as far as i kno we are the definate ppl, and we were having problems getting the skool puters to fold (as explained by DeepScience.com, and also other problems too)

btw - we also have the Primary skool across the road agreed to soon hopefully start folding there big bunch of computers for us too :)

A point to note though... when I was in the States I was horrified to hear someone say that they liked eating kiwi.

For a New Zealander this means only two possible things, 1) they like eating New Zealanders, or 2) they like eating the national emblem which is an endangered dumb blind flightless bird.

In NZ the fruit is known as "Kiwifruit".

Of course once I worked out what people were talking about I didn't mind at all.
