If I am using AMD cpu is there a point in buying 2700 ram instead of 2100, thx?

Hi guys. If I am going to be using an XP 1900 cpu does it matter if I buy the new 2700 ram or not. It sounds like the fastests it can handle is 2100. Thx for any input
 
If you want to use a high(over 170) fsb yes. If not no unless you think you might have a use for higher speed memory in the future.
 
It also depends if you motherboard supports the new pc2700ddr- with my epox i found that the samsung pc2700 did not work on turbo w/ out adding another .50 to the voltage.
