OK, I just installed a new WD 40GB harddrive on my machine. Bios picks it up fine. The 20gb with the operating system on it is jumpered to master, the wd is jumpered to slave. I can righ click my computer andd go to the harddrive in the device manager and it says it is working fine, the drivers are good, yadda yadda. It isnt showing up in My Computer with the rest of the drives. Since I can't get my RAID to work on my sosyo k7v dragon plus, i figured no biggie, just add it to an existing ide cable. This will make the fourth drive on my system. 2 cd-roms and two harddrives. If the bios is picking it up, and windows is showing it has drivers and stuff for it, and it is working fine, how do I gain access to it???? Please, any help would be much appreciated, I could really use the extra room, down to 500MB free on my current harddrive...HELP!!!!!

It'll need to be partitioned and formatted most likely. Explorer will not see the drive till it is. You can use FDISK and format from DOS or through Disk Manaagement in XP, NT or 2000.

right click on my computer...click Manage...you'll see your drive there, format it. after that it will become usable
