right now i have an the asus a7v133 board with an athlon tbird. i was wondering if i will see a siginifcant increase in performance if i upgrade my board and memory to pc2700...

or would i see a better increase if i just added something like 512mb of more memory. righ tn ow i have 256mb of pc133

I would say so. I upgraded from PC100 to PC2100, and it's great. I think it would be a worthwhile upgrade. Usually, DDR motherboards will go up to 3-4 GB max ram, which is generally higher than SDRAM.

Also, DDR is pretty cheap right now (about the same price as SDRAM), so I'd say go for it.

Neither one will make a siginifcant increase in performance.
You will probably not even notice the difference or only a slight difference.Benchmarks will show a difference thou changing from sdr to ddr.
