check dB product where can i buy?

I want to check the dB on my computer and other things i was wondering where you guys got yours from, and if you could recommend a place to buy one. Im looking for one that will go up to 160dB... i checked my local radio shack they had nothing checked their web site can't find anything i know they have something but whatever....

well i checked ebay found a bunch seems like if i want anything over 120ish db im gonna have to pay waaay too much money, i only wanted it to go up to 160db to test my stereo in my car cause my sub is well capable of making 155db but oh well ill just buy a cheap one on ebay to check how loud my computer is some time in the near future

What total system power and subs are you running to hit those levels? Most of the SPL vehicles are running above 5000 watts true power to get anywhere near those levels, as well as extensive chassis, power and structural modifications. To get a good check without bankrupting yourself, try to find a auto sound competition and enter it. All major events will have an SPL test as part of the process. Additionally, higher end shops will usually have SPL testing equipment and will test for a small fee. I used to compete, but have been out of it for a couple of years now.
