ok so this is a brand new computer i just built and have not OC yet. But i'm getting this strange error while installing my Audigy.

CTZAPXX.exe- application Error

The instruction at "0x00406789" referenced memory at "0x00154000". The memory could not be "written". Click OK to
terminate the program.

then after clicking OK i get a
second error that is similar...

CTZAPXX.exe-
application Error The instruction at "0x77f5222c"
referenced memory at "0x6c6c6174". The memory could
not be "written". Click OK to terminate the program.

then upon clicking ok it finishes

the system specs are:
2.4 p4 GHZ
soyo dragon ultra
1 gig of pc2700 samsung
win xp

is the ram the problem? Or is some other hardware not letting the memory write correctly. I've ran scandisk and came with nothing....

Did you disable the onboard sound?
How many sticks of memory 2x512?

Does the system info in the control panel show 1gig of memory?

the amout of memory is always shown correctly either in bios or windows system info. i'm hoping I didn't in some way damage the ram while I installed the thermaltake active memory cooling, although wouldn't that just render the memory unrecognizable?

Well the ram is 2x512 sticks because the Soyo only supports that much 2700
