Yep, I've got all protein "A"s right now. And, yep, it makes a big difference.

Of course, the 3 new Duron 1.2 GHz 'puters help a little, too. Dedicated folders, they are.

Fry's had the duron 1.2 and an ecs K7S5A mobo combo 2 weeks ago for $99. And 128 meg pc133 ram for $19.99. So I picked up 3, of each. AND, I don't even have them overclocked yet!

I've got Flounder beat now, K7S5A wise. I have 5 K7S5A boards now.

You da man Ned. I've got no way of holding you off right now. Started paying student loans in earnest and there went my free funds. The soonest I'll be able to do anything will be at christmas. I've seen some refurbished Abit KR7As at Newegg for $60.00 and might be able to get a couple of those and get better overclocks. You guys behind me are doing an outstanding job and I will salute you as you pass me. Don't look back though. There's only 2 things holding me back from creating a big dust storm in all your faces, debt and school. School is over in 2 weeks, debt should be finished up after 2 paychecks. Although, i need rent and damage deposit for the end of july, which is when the free rent runs out ;)

ok, I forgot BUILT. Yes, I built them too. Can't afford to buy pre-built machines.

2) Funny you should ask. Two of them are NOT in cases; they are sitting on my desk, "PLOAF-style". I ran out of cases.
They work just fine. Cooling is not nearly as much of an issue. :rolleyes: And since I'm using the hsf that came with them, that's a good thing. (Yeah, they were retail box!)

PLOAF, where can I get a good deal on a sheet of ply wood? LOL.
They would be out of the way if I could hang them on the wall. :D
